A collaborative vision created by David Saunders, Sarah Wilson and myself, Tracks is a growing music collective based in Darlington with which we aim to stimulate the flourishing local music scene by developing high quality events and activities, providing opportunities for musicians to be heard, and offering advice to help nourish and inspire new artists.
On top of sharing management responsibilities within Tracks, I also do most of our graphic/web design & photographic work. Since our formation, we've begun running a variety of initiatives, atop which we've recently received funding from Arts Council England to allow us to do even more.
Alongside curating stages at Stockton Calling and various arts events within Darlington, a few of our other key ideas to date include:
LAST TRAIN HOME FESTIVAL
We'll be bringing a new multi-venue music & comedy festival to Darlington on 22/09/18, which is set to take place in venues surrounding the train station, with all stages finishing up just before the Last Train Home.
Whilst making nods to Darlington's rich railway heritage, the festival is intended to be a celebration of our local music scene; majority billed by emerging artists around the North East and headlined by a few more established names, it'll also provide opportunities for young new musicians to gain experience, reach new audiences, and get paid doing it. Watch our Facebook for more details as we announce.

NOISY DAUGHTERS
An initiative promoting equality in the music industry by looking at issues facing females and creating events to raise awareness, discuss ideas, and inspire positive change.
So far we've run various events under this header including a girls-only songwriting workshop, a panel discussion, a screening of the film Play Your Gender, and a couple of gigs with majority female line-ups, with more yet to come.
You can see a gallery of images I took at some of these events here.

MUSIC BOX FESTIVAL
Now in its third year, Music Box is a DIY music festival for which Hole In The Wall, Avalon & Hash Bar & Kitchen welcome a delicious feast of local artists through their doors, setting Darlington ablaze with a cornucopia of energy and talent.
